Parenting Support
Parenting support - like parenting - is flexible to the needs of each individual parent. At it’s base is an objective source of support and knowledge for your parenting journey.
We all come from different backgrounds and home relationships and these backgrounds - either consciously or sub-consciously - inform our parenting. Coaching gives you the space to try to identify patterns that are working for your family and those that are not.
Sometimes, we are parenting without being gifted a secure attachment or good regulatory strategies of our own. The good news is that these are things that can be learnt with practice.
I work with clients to understand them, their child and their parenting journey. That can include challenges with regulation (calming down after stress/distress); working to understand attachment security; behavioural challenges; sleep; self-esteem; stress; and sometimes just feeling stuck.
Coaching can offer science and research based stragegies for managing the many challenges of parenting, while supporting you in a warm and judgement-free way.
Parenting is really dependent on how we show up each day - are we well rested, nourished, conscious and embodied versions of ourselves; or are we tired, stressed, pulled in all directions and snappy.
